By Anna Lassmann Family members joined Longhorn Band members for Family Weekend on Saturday as we cheered the Longhorns on to a 40-34 double overtime victory over Kansas State The families joined us for our rehearsal before the game in the Bubble, where they got to listen to a music rehearsal and learn to march “LHB style.” Following the rehearsal, the band took our annual panoramic picture and ate our favorite PoK-e-Jo's barbecue in the band hall. The Longhorn Band lined up on Trinity to march down for our first pregame performance since Sept. 9. The halftime show featured the “Best of ACL” which included “Somebody Told Me” by The Killers, “Lonely Boy” by The Black Keys and “Dark Necessities” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The sisters of Tau Beta Sigma helped on game day by providing med kits and water during the game. We look forward to traveling to Dallas next weekend as the Longhorns take on OU in the annual Red River Rivalry.
